Support to the CENTER project in the prevention of addiction

The Mayor of Novi Pazar, Nihat Biševac, and the member of the City Council, Denisa Curić, today awarded contracts to citizens' associations for the co-financing and financing of program activities and projects in the field of environmental protection, as well as the prevention of addiction diseases, for the year 2024. 21 associations received funds.

The project proposal of the Citizens' Association CENTER from Novi Pazar was selected together with 8 other project proposals of non-governmental organizations from Novi Pazar as part of the Public Call for funding projects "Support to programs for the prevention of drug abuse and gambling addiction among key populations".

The meeting was an opportunity to point out the dangers of addictions, the mayor pointed out that investments in projects make sense if at least one life is saved through prevention, and that cooperation between citizens' associations and institutions at the local level is key to achieving goals and achieving positive results.
