Request to correct the name of the street "Stevan Nemanja" to "Stefan Nemanja"

On the holiday dedicated to the founder of the Serbian state and the founder of Orthodoxy in the Serbian people, Saint Simeon the Myrrh-Bearer (Stefan Nemanja), our association has sent an official request to the City Assembly of Novi Pazar to correct the name of the street "Stevan Nemanja" to "Stefan Nemanja".

This initiative was launched with the aim of preserving historical and linguistic correctness, since one of the most important Serbian rulers, the founder of the Serbian medieval state, officially bore the name Stefan Nemanja, as confirmed by historical sources and official documents from the Nemanjić era, which consistently use the form "Stefan".

We believe it is important to bring street names into line with historical facts, thereby preserving cultural heritage and paying due tribute to this great figure.

We expect the relevant authorities to consider our request and take steps to correct the street name. We call on all citizens to support this initiative so that together we can preserve historical accuracy and pay due tribute to the great ruler.
