Prevention of gambling addiction among young people

Project goal:

The project "Prevention of gambling addiction among young people" aims to empower young people to make healthy life decisions and to avoid the pitfalls of gambling addiction. Through this program, young people will be encouraged to think about the consequences of their actions, to recognize the risks of gambling and to develop strategies to overcome environmental pressures.

The goals of the project are to create a change in the awareness, knowledge and behavior of the target groups regarding gambling addiction and promoting healthy lifestyles. Through the mentioned activities, the project will contribute to the following changes:

1. increasing awareness;
2. improving information;
3. developing skills.

Location: Serbia, Novi Pazar

Target groups: 
1. Children and young people from 7 to 18 years;
2. Risk groups of young people aged 19 to 27 (young people who are already at risk of developing gambling problems);
3. Parents will benefit from video materials that will help them recognize early signs of addiction in their children, provide support and direct them to resources and professional help. The project will strengthen family ties, support communication and understanding between family members.

The project will provide additional skills to youth workers to better recognize and support young people at risk of gambling addiction. Пројекат ће им пружити додатне вештине oсобaма које раде са младима, зкако би боље препознали и подржали младе људе који су у ризику од зависности од коцке.
